For almost twenty-five years INTERIGHTS has pursued the legal protection of international human rights through strategic litigation, training, publications and outreach work. We have built a world wide reputation for leadership in this work and are looking for a Lawyer to develop our work in the South Caucasus region.

As part of an experienced team you will implement INTERIGHTS ’ current programme of work in the South Caucasus, assess new opportunities for the legal protection of human rights, both within and outside this region, and identify potential partner organizations for collaborative work and funding support. You will provide legal advice to partners, draft legal briefs in cases on which Interights intervenes, and design and implement regional projects on key human rights themes.

This is a rewarding and challenging role and you will have sound knowledge of and professional experience in the application of international human rights and comparative law in the region. You will have substantial litigation experience using the European Convention on Human Rights. Fluency in English and Russian is essential.

Salary is in accordance with skills and experience and ranges from £33,000 - £39,000 p.a. Relocation, a 5% pension contribution and other benefits are included in the salary package.

The first stage interview for short listed candidates will be by telephone and the second stage interview for a smaller group of candidates will take place at INTERIGHTS ’ offices.
