Building Bridges for Rights documents the evolution and growth of cross border human rights initiatives in Africa. It describes the factors that have influenced their evolution, patterns of growth, problems and constraints as well as gaps, challenges and opportunities. The book also contains entries with brief descriptions of and contact information for inter-governmental bodies in Africa, including the Organisation of African Unity, the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights, the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights and the various regional integration arrangements in Africa.
