Current Fellows, Interns and Volunteers at INTERIGHTS

Rachel Harper is an intern in the Africa and Equality programmes at INTERIGHTS. Rachel obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree, specialism in Public International Law, from the London School of Economics (2012) and a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the University of Southern California (2012). Her admission to the New York State bar is expected in September 2013. She is particularly interested in combatting human trafficking and also currently writes for the International Women’s Initiative. Previously, she worked at the Southern Poverty Law Center in Mississippi in their ‘Children at Risk’ campaign. She has also participated in human rights and social justice advocacy as an intern with the Center for Constitutional Rights in New York City and with the International Bar Association’s Human Rights Institute in London.

Charlotte Leslie is a fellow in the Economic and Social Rights programme at INTERIGHTS as the recipient of a Harvard Law School Public Service Fellowship.
Charlotte holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree specialising in health and human rights law from Harvard Law School (2012), and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/ Bachelor of Health Sciences (2007) and Postgraduate Certificate in Public Health (2010) from the University of Auckland.
Charlotte worked for four years in New Zealand as a medico-legal prosecutor at the Office of the Crown Solicitor and as a judicial clerk at the Auckland High Court. She has researched and conducted advocacy work on a range of health and human rights issues for the Program on the Health Rights of Women and Children at the Harvard School of Public Health, and as an intern at Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International U.S.A.
At INTERIGHTS, Charlotte is involved in strategic litigation involving the right to health and right to education before a range of domestic, regional and international courts and tribunals.

Ruchi Parekh is a fellow in the Economic and Social Rights programme at INTERIGHTS as the recipient of a Harvard Law School Public Service Fellowship. At INTERIGHTS, Ruchi is involved in strategic litigation involving the rights to education and health before a range of domestic, regional and international courts and tribunals.
Ruchi also currently holds a Teaching Fellow position at the School of Oriental and African Studies. She has a Masters of Law degree in International Human Rights from Harvard Law School (2012) and a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) from the London School of Economics (2009), and is a member of the Bar of England and Wales. Previously, Ruchi has worked on a range of human rights issues with the Harvard Law School International Human Rights Clinic, and as an intern with the Constitution Unit, University College London.

Dana Ududec is an intern in the Europe Programme at INTERIGHTS, working under the supervision of Constantin Cojocariu on subjects related to LGBT and disability.
Dana started her human rights work during law school, in 2010, when she joined the Bucharest-based Euroregional Center for Public Initiatives Foundation, closely collaborating with Iustina Ionescu, the organisation’s human rights lawyer. Her main areas of work were sexual and reproductive rights, and non-discrimination. Dana holds an LLB from the University of Bucharest and is currently enrolled in the Politics, Gender and Minorities Master Programme at SNSPA Bucharest.
