Tim is a highly experienced and respected public law advocate with a strong background in European and International Human Rights Law, European Community Law and Public International Law. He regularly appears in domestic and international courts and tribunals, acting for applicants, respondents and interveners, including the United Kingdom Supreme Court, the House of Lords, the European Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights. Throughout his practice Tim has acted and advised in relation to human rights issues both before the domestic courts and tribunals as well as before international and supra-national bodies and tribunals, including the (now defunct) European Commission of Human Rights, the European Court of Human Rights, the UN Committee on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), the European Committee of Social Rights, the European Court of Justice and the Court of First Instance (now the General Court).
Tim is also the Editor of the European Human Rights Reports and a co- author (with David Scorey) of Human Rights Damages – Principles and Practice (Sweet & Maxwell, loose-leaf).
